Beginning with the New Year 2010, the Hotel management decided to make the
stay of our guests in the Hotel even more pleasurable by renovating
more than 40 of our guest rooms.
"We came to Latvia only to help. We have worked for that all the time,"
says Mr. Ādolfs Sīlis, when he saw a changed face of Latvia after 50
years of Soviet occupation, in 1994 convinced the Fund of Daugavas
Vanagi in England to open up a Hotel “Radi un Draugi” in Riga.
From the earned funds many fellows in difficulties have received
the support: children, young and old people. Nothing from the profit of
the prospering Hotel has been taken away from Latvia — everything is
invested in development or charity...........
